savory + sweet breakfast

One of the most common questions I get from clients is what I eat, and sometimes it couldn’t be simpler than steamed veggies with toast.

This is not so much a recipe as a suggestion to a hearty breakfast that fulfills the sweet and savory flavors our body needs for optimal balance.

Here is a quick, easy and healthy meal idea to make to your taste:

To eat [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][savory]:
organic collard greens – sliced into ribbons + lightly steamed
sea salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
hemp seeds [or seeds of choice]
Le Pain Quotidien super seed gluten-free bread – toasted + topped with ghee and/or tahini

To sip [sweet]:
Yogi Teas vanilla hazelnut tea [or tea of choice] – steeped in 1/3 cup hot water
unsweetened coconut milk – 1 cup warmed on stovetop
ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cardamom, turmeric, sea salt to taste – stirred into coconut milk
raw honey or vanilla extract to sweeten [optional]
