Experience & Training

Sasha offers rejuvenating yoga sessions in English or French – including local insights – to visitors of her current home in the Cote d’Azur.

For over 12 years, Sasha has studied under respected teachers including Nikki Costello, Carrie Owerko, and Genny Kapuler in Iyengar Yoga, and Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach in Mindfulness Meditation.

Her path has taken her from California to NYC, Paris, and the Côte d’Azur, where she’s hosted international retreats and taught at renowned studios like Kula Yoga Project, YogaWorks NYC, and Modo Yoga Paris.

She is an expert in tailoring private group and corporate sessions – from bachelorette parties to families to large-scale events – to create the most aligned and nourishing atmosphere for a memorable communal experience.

Through her own journey with and passion for wellness, personal growth, and navigating challenges, Sasha offers a supportive, empathetic approach to all she works with.

Before Booking / FAQ

  • Do we need prior experience? Nope – I teach for all levels, and tailor classes to include modifications.
  • How long is a typical session? Sessions are typically 60 minutes, but 90-120 minutes is also an option, depending on your preference and availability. Please ensure the group is ready to begin and end on the agreed time.
  • Do we need a yoga mat? Yes, but don’t panic if you don’t have one! You have 2 options: 1. Bring your own mat (I recommend the Manduka travel mat and / or sweat towels – use code SASHAMANDUKA for a 20% discount on the EU site). 2. A beach towel works in a pinch and is often effective for outdoor sessions.
  • What else should we bring? Water, sunscreen / sunglasses if you’ll be outdoors.
  • Where do you teach? I teach in and around Nice and can go as far as Menton to Cannes, and North depending on the location. Please note that I travel by bike, bus, or train from central Nice.
  • Where should we host our session? It’s up to you where you want the class to be depending on your location, and if you want privacy. I’ve taught on villa properties, in parks, and on the beach (sand and rocks are not always ideal, but it’s completely doable for simple sessions). Wherever you choose, I request that you plan for both indoor and outdoor practice spaces in case of weather changes – make sure there’s enough space and that the area is free of breakable or sharp objects.
  • Do you teach with music? If the session is outdoors it’s easier not to teach with music, but an ambient playlist can be arranged if the session is indoors.
  • Can I practice if I’m pregnant? Absolutely – I can offer modifications depending on your trimester.
  • What if I have health issues or injuries the day of the session? Please rest and avoid practicing if you feel unwell, and let Sasha know about any physical injuries in advance.
