merry everything
May every sunrise hold more promise, and every sunset hold more peace.

After six plus years of teaching yoga, wellness consulting, and writing these newsletters, I still cannot adequately express my gratitude for this community.
Thank you for trusting me to facilitate and share this work with you, for reading and sharing your own thoughts and transformations, for encouraging me this [every] year when I really [really] needed it, for teaching and inspiring me, for being exactly as you are.
I am not going to tell you I can guarantee you the happiest and healthiest holiday in the world, but I will offer some actionable, heartfelt insight based on my own studies and practices:
- Get outside. Fresh air will rejuvenate and ground in this bamboozling seasonal transition.
- Move around. It boosts mood and relieves tension to boot.
- Eat the vegetables and enjoy the holiday treats. Be gentle with yourself.
- Give the gift of your attention and take a break when you need a moment to yourself.
- Practice gratitude daily even if things feel challenging; even if it’s just one good thing.
- Celebrate the moment and the simple act of being alive, whatever that means to you.
- Take good care of yourselves and each other.
- Love fully – without expectations – even if it’s scary. The act of loving is invigorating.
- Reflect on the year with curiosity versus judgement; recognize what worked and what needs to shift next time. Be proud of how far you’ve come, wherever you’re at.
Life is a vast ocean; all we can do is adjust to the temperature and ride the waves as best we can.
I wish you promise in each sunrise and peace in each sunset, holidays and 2019 and beyond.

Thank you.
