Your mind will answer most questions if you learn to relax and wait for the answers.

Hola from Rayos Del Sol, Costa Rica! This is my third and certainly not my last annual retreat here, with special co-hosts Amber Gregory and Sarah Girard.

A few important lifestyle concepts continue to become clearer as we move throughout this week – a response that travel will always illicit. I offer these nuggets to you as inspiration not necessarily to change your life, but to enhance the beauty that already surrounds you:

  • Slow down a little and savor much more.
  • Nothing matters, although everyone and everything matters. Mas o menos.
  • Don’t rush to relax. Relax as you rush. Don’t rush at all.
  • Nature is medicine. Take care of her like she cares for us.
  • Get dirty. Put your feet in the earth. Jump in the water. Stare at the sky.
  • We are safe, supported, provided for, grounded.
  • I’m good here. We’re OK. Breathe.
  • Approach fears with curiosity. Surf the literal waves of all emotions and experiences.
  • Take time with yourself/those who nourish you – say thank you bye to whoever doesn’t.
  • We are all familia.
  • Sourdough bread is everything.
  • Home is where the heart is, wherever you are in the world.

What can you do today to Pura Vida-fy your experience?
