Just because we’re not on a sticky yoga mat doesn’t mean we can’t practice yoga. Yoga is, after all, simply a practice of being mindful in every moment, “yoking” two things together (breath and body, mind and body), and creating a sense of union.

Asana is the physical practice, what we know as yoga, and can also be done anywhere at anytime. All we need is our bodies and an open mind. Enter: beach asana.

The breath-work and mindfulness yoga incorporates makes it possible to keep calm in beach crowds (i.e. loud children, rambunctious partiers, non-stop grillers), and you’ll also reap the benefits of strengthening and stretching from the physical practice…
