A new fall favorite inspired by Divya Alter’s Ayurvedic oats in her beautiful seasonal cookbook.

Adjust measurements and spices to your taste, and enjoy.

Bring a bit of filtered water and spices to a simmer.
Add figs, cover, and stew a few minutes until soft.
Stir in buckwheat flakes and almond milk, adjusting liquid quantity for desired consistency.
Simmer until warm and serve with desired toppings.

toasted pumpkin seeds

optional additions

ghee / coconut oil / coconut shreds / tahini / sunflower seeds
