ingredients
- fresh or dried pomegranate seeds [sub unsweetened dried cranberries / raspberries / cherries / etc]
- buckwheat flakes [sub oats or barley flakes]
- spices of choice: cinnamon / cardamom / nutmeg / ginger / s+p [optional / to taste]
- filtered h2o and / or unsweetened milk of choice [I prefer almond]
- vanilla extract or powder [to taste]
- Divya’s homemade quick-cooking ghee [sub coconut oil / vegan butter]
- toasted unsalted pistachios, chopped [sub toasted almonds or nuts / seeds of choice]
- love [most importantly]
- options: drizzle with a maple syrup + tahini glaze / sprinkle with unsweetened toasted coconut flakes
instructions
- lightly heat ghee with spices
- stir in berries and grains of choice until coated and fragrant
- add liquid and stir
- cover and simmer until cooked
- add vanilla and toppings of choice
- serve warm and enjoy mindfully
