This is so simple and so delicious, I wish I could ship it via cyber space straight to your table for breakfast.

DRINKmaple Pure Maple Water is not only tasty and super refreshing, the company itself has stellar eco-initiatives, like making sure the trees on their farm are tapped in a way that allows for years of sustainable water supply. They also give back by donating 200 gallons of clean water to people in need of it in developing nations for every bottle purchased. Just one ingredient, rich in minerals, low in sugar. All the good things.

vega + drinkmaple smoothie

Quite choosy about protein powders, Vega address most if not all of my personal criteria: clean ingredients, non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, made with whole foods and no added sugars. They have a outstanding sustainability efforts like working with small farmers whenever possible, and using recycled packaging. The Vega Essentials vanilla shake I used has 3 servings of greens and 20 grams of plant-based protein [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][pea, flax, hemp].

Not a fan of protein powders? Sub with whole foods like veggies and greens [I love spinach or chard in smoothies], fresh or frozen fruit like apple or seasonal berries, nuts/seeds, coconut yogurt, nut/seed butter, honey or maple syrup, your favorite superfoods, and/or adding spices or vanilla extract to taste.
