happy + healthy 2021

We cannot control the outcome of our action. Still, we can turn toward the world, plant good seeds, and trust that they will eventually bear fruit. Whenever a few people are committed to the vision of a free and just humanity, transformation can happen, despite the greatest odds.

Prolific mediation teacher Jack Kornfield wrote, “Whenever a few people are committed to the vision of a free and just humanity, transformation can happen, despite the greatest odds.”

This has certainly been a transformative year on every level. We have all probably needed more support than ever; many of us have had to give more than we had the capacity to give; we’ve all likely experienced collective and individual highest highs and lowest lows to date.

Whatever you did or didn’t accomplish in 2020; however you did or didn’t transform – please remember that you are worthy and valued; please give yourselves credit for waking up and moving through your day as best you can.

To me, the practice of committing to a free and just humanity means being more aware versus ignorant and more active versus reactive, yet it also requires resting and restoring in a way that rejuvenates versus depletes so that I can move forward more consciously and courageously.

To keep on keepin’ on with more alertness requires optimal fuel for our furnace. Just like a car cannot function without regular repairs and gasoline, us human folk need consistent food and lifestyle practices that nourish our minds, bodies, and the planet on which we all live.

Here are my personal most revisited practices from 2020 that I am committed to carrying with me into 2021 for the wellbeing of myself and the benefit of all beings:

Thank you so much for being here, and please thank your Selves for showing up for yourselves and others throughout this very transformative time on this Earth.

How do you plan to commit to your personal and collective vision of a free and just humanity moving into the new year?
